This is where the story gets good…
Toronto Family Photographer:
Cinematic & Completely Unfiltered
If you are looking for a Toronto family photographer who thrives on loud personalities, inside jokes, and the specific brand of chaos that makes your family yours, you are in the right place.
Perfectly behaved kids are not required here. You don't need to bribe them with candy to get through a session with me. If somebody needs a snack, they eat. If everyone needs a minute to breathe, we take it. We usually hang out for about 60 to 90 minutes, and my only rule is that nobody is allowed to stress out.
The Game Plan
We will spend the first 15 minutes getting the classic, everyone-looking-at-the-lens photo out of the way (because it’s not in my DNA to disappoint grandma).
After that? We let the wheels fall off in the best way possible. Most people assume hiring a Toronto family photographer means rigid rules, but my goal isn't to micro-manage your hands or tell you how to stand. I'll show up with my cameras strapped to me in leather suspenders (like a cowboy), ready to go! My goal is to just keep up with the fast-moving action and bottle up the actual, brilliant mess of your regular Tuesday.
Got Older Kids?
I haven’t forgotten them! Finding a Toronto family photographer who won't make your teenagers actively roll their eyes is half the battle. Teenagers do not need to be forced into group hugs they hate. We will build the session around whatever your family actually enjoys doing. If that means making fun of me for an hour, I can take it. The goal is for everyone to drop their guard and accidentally have a great time.
For the Camera-Shy Parent
Let’s address the elephant in the room. In almost every family, there is at least one person who would rather be doing literally anything else than getting their picture taken. I completely get it!
So to help that, I like to keep the focus entirely on the kids and the action. You get to just hang out, play games, toss a toddler in the air, or completely ignore me while you make breakfast. I will just happen to be there, catching the good stuff while you are busy being a parent. The less you worry about the camera, the better the photos actually turn out. Before you know it, the session is over, nobody is stressed, and you will have a gallery where you actually look and feel like yourself.
As it actually happened
If your child is the one that’s camera-shy, I’d like to refer to a past client of mine. I once showed up to a house in Leslieville where we planned to take photos of making lunch. I met them in the kitchen for grilled cheese sandwiches, and about fifteen minutes in, the little one was up the stairs to build a fort in her bed. That fort turned a once camera-shy kid into a laughing kid.
As your Toronto family photographer, my job isn’t to shut down unplanned activities. I’m there to grab my gear and let them lead me into the fort!
That is the exact energy I want to bring to your gallery. Not the version of your family holding it together for ninety seconds of smiling. The real one.
Wherever You Actually
Hang Out
Every family operates on its own frequency. Whether you are managing toddlers who run on pure adrenaline, teenagers who’d rather be literally anywhere else, or a newborn who only tolerates being awake for twenty-minute windows, I’ve built my approach as a Toronto family photographer around meeting you exactly where you are.
Being a dedicated Toronto family photographer means I've shot sessions everywhere from a studio apartment in Liberty Village to a sprawling backyard in Etobicoke, and everywhere in between. Nothing will ever beat your actual living room! If it's a place your family already loves, that's exactly where we should be.
